An Update from Heston West

Good afternoon,

Our officers are sending out this message in order to keep you, our good residents, informed as to what has been happening in recent times on the ward. What actions have been taken, what results we have seen, and what we are seeking to do next!

Throughout October and November, our officers conducted multiple arrests you may have already seen if you are following our ward's twitter account. If not, to summarise:

Heston West attended an address in part of a court-approved warrant. This address was one where a dog has consistently been reported to be out of control and had left residents feeling unsafe. This dog was seized and assessed by specialised officers while the owner remains under investigation.

On the topic of warrants, two drugs warrants conducted earlier in the year have also been resulted in court with successful convictions. Others remain locked in court proceedings.

Various stop and searches have also been conducted throughout this period, several resulting in the discovery of various articles from drugs to offensive weapons, the latter resulting in one of the arrests mentioned above. Several community resolutions have also been providers to thoes found in possession of cannabis.

Regarding actions we are seeking to take, from our last meeting at the Brabazon Road Community centre, you expressed a desire for a traffic operation to be conducted in the Cranford Lane/Brabazon Road area. We are presently in discussion with other officers to try and arrange for a date for this to occur.

The next meeting is likely to occur mid to late January, so watch this space!
